Tolkien’s The Hobbit
Plot
After secretly raising a disturbingly talented spider, 12-year-old Charlotte must face the facts about her pet – and fight for her family’s survival – when the once adorable creature quickly turns into a giant, flesh-eating monster. Charlotte names the spider Sting after seeing a copy of J.R.R. Sting is not the name of a spider in The Hobbit, but of the sword Bilbo uses to fight the spiders. Although the action is supposed to be set in New York City, the Australian set is a hit throughout. In the US, doorknobs are about three feet off the ground, here they are halfway up the doors.
You see, spiders are incapable of love
When viewing a street view, the cars are parked on the “wrong side of the road” compared to the US. Frank: I don’t think spiders make good pets. A spider can only do two things, and that is eat and kill. During the credits, it is revealed that the dog Bonnie survived when Sting captured him. Includes Frankenstein (1931).
This is definitely a horror movie
What a Day to DieWritten by Patricia H. EricsonPublished by Cradle Rocks & Low Tide MusicPerformed by The Pleasure SeekersCourtesy of d2 Music o/b/o Cradle Rocks Records. If you like horror movies, I can recommend this one. As the title suggests, I went in without much prior knowledge and that was a good thing. I won’t give that away here.
Is the spider good or evil, is the girl evil, are the two friends?
You know it’s about a spider and a little girl, that much is on the cover. I had no idea about any of these things and left it at that until I had a chance to see it in theaters. I’d say this can probably wait until it comes out on streaming or DVD/Blu-ray, if that’s still possible. The special effects are good, but it’s not the kind of movie that justifies a bigger screen than most people have at home these days. If you like horror, give this movie a try, and try not to read too much about it so you can be surprised too.
If not, it’s still good and worth watching
There’s blood, there’s a bit of brutality, and it’s a blast.
