Plot
Jackal is an inscrutable killer who makes his living by carrying out attacks for the highest reward. He soon meets his equal in a persistent British intelligence officer who tracks him down in an exciting cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.. "Day of the Jackal" The novel is set in 1963 and includes an assassination attempt on the then president of France, Charles de Gaulle.
Remake of The Day of the Jackal (1973)
I noticed a strong comment from "Where we went wrong". The cast of Redmayne was the perfect choice for this remake of the classic. The big mistake was giving the main female role to Lashana Lynch, an MI6 agent.
She seems inexperienced for this role
It was as if she was trying very hard to impress and paid less attention to her character role, which should have belonged to a more experienced actress. They should have chosen a more confident and experienced actress like Christina Adams. I will admit that the rest of the cast was okay and the acting was decent.

The story and production were spot on for me and kept me glued to the action scenes with Redmayne. I was tempted to rewind all the Lashana Lynch episodes because they got really boring.. The new season of "Silos" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
